Flight 93 was the only hijacked plane on September 11 that failed to hit its intended target. United Airlines flight 93 bound for San Francisco has special significance for those of us in the Bay Area where many of the heroes lived, worked or were traveling to that day.Union City's Flight 93 Memorial is on Smith and Dyer Street.On September 3rd, several riders departed Newark NJ, en route to a September 11th arrival in San Francisco. Their goal? To complete the journey of Flight 93 and raise funds for the national memorial in Pennsylvania.
